Vanderbilt - 2019 (vs UGA)
Georgia - 2019 (vs Vandy)
South Carolina - 2016 (vs Vandy)
LSU - 2015 (vs Miss St)**
Auburn - 2014 (vs Ark)
Arkansas - 2014 (vs Aub)
Texas A&M - 2014 (vs SCAR)
Ole Miss - 2013 (vs Vandy)
Mississippi St - 2007 (vs LSU)
Alabama - 1999 (vs Vandy)
Florida - 1992 (vs UK)
Tennessee - 1988 (vs UGA)
Kentucky - 1960 (vs Ga Tech)

**McNeese St game was cancelled (2007 was the last time LSU was scheduled to play an SEC team to open the season)

NOTE: Missouri started their 1975 season vs Alabama, which resulted in Alabama's only loss of the year.

It's pretty fricked up that the SEC uses Vandy as the sacrificial pawn so often. Since the first expansion in '92, they've started their season off vs SEC teams 10 times and have lost all 10. Poor Vandy.

vs Kentucky 92 meetins, 46 losses
vs Auburn 43 meetings, 21 losses

The last time the Commadoers met Mizzou & Arkansas, Vandy wasn't on the losing end.

One of the more bizarre series records with at least 20 meetings.

One of the hottest games I’ve been to and Burt it out there in his long sleeve wind breaker. Also, Jeremy Johnson started that game while Nick Marshall sat out for a half and had everyone fooled that he was a good QB.

Sure as hell fooled me. I was super worried when he came to BR in 2015. Couldn't have been more wrong on that one.

Vandy has beat Auburn twice in that last 65 years. Both times the Coaches were fired after that season. 2008 and 2012.

That 88 game against Tennessee was a blast. It poured rain the whole game.

The 2012 loss should not count, we didn't really field a team that year. Maybe put it down as one of many forfeits. The 2008 game was a lesson in how to lose a won game. Thanks Senator Tubby.

Not that I'm still bitter...

Kind count but not really. They are about as not SEC as an SEC opponent gets.

19 of those losses occurred in the early 20th century when Vanderbilt was a southern powerhouse. We didn't get to play them every year throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's to pad our wins against them like bama (and others) have done.

Missouri in the mid 70s won games against 10+ win teams in USC, Nebraska, Ohio State, Alabama but lost often to .500 teams and under. And Missouri was never an over 8 win team without looking. Mizzou fans may have to shed some light as I’m not looking at a webpage posting this.
