The whistle blowing was a mistake. It shouldn't have blown. He wasn't down or even close to being down.
Now we did catch a break by them reviewing it as if there wasn't a whistle but the right team won. End of story.

So you're basically bitching because we didn't get screwed out of a bad call?
Classy
Was his knee down?

If the SEC OFFICES say they screwed up they screwed up. What's so hard for a Vol to admit that? No one is taking away from your victory just pointing out how fricking lame UT has become in 3 short years is all
eta: the spelling is awful in my post

I don't think anyone would argue the call was fricked. However.. as soon as the whistle was blown for no reason the call was going to screw one team.

yes you should stop acting like beating fricking vandy is some accomplishment

The result of the game reflected the play. May not reflect the way it was called, but the result was correct.

We had the same call against Florida, whistle blew, ended the play,no TD.
You would have likely won anyways. You just didnt win by the rulebook per se.

Don't want to hear anymore bitching about LSU and UNC from UT fans.

How did that benefit us in anyway? If the refs had just done their job we get the same result.

I can bitch about UNC all I want because they had to actually ammend the rulebook to fix how badly we got screwed, but this game was won by the correct team. Yes, the fact that they reviewed the play was wrong BUT it was also the correct call because that dumbass ref blew the whistle for no reason (his knee wasn't even close to being down). We would've gotten the ball anyway and kicked a FG to win regardless, quit bitching people

SEC officials throwing out the rulebook to cover up a blown call is not the end of the story. It doesn't matter if everything "ended up ok." Ref blow calls that affect the outcomes of games everyday. It is part of their job. If they mess up, they should be repremanded or fired, but the rules STILL APPLY. They have to. Without them as a basis for the game, we end p with College Football being officiated subjectively. That works just great for Olympic Sports, right? Yeah.
The ENTRE crew from that game needs to get the ax by Monday. They all huddled, an all had to agree to disregard what happened. This is the SEC, and as bad as the SEC officials can be, this was total bush league.

I agree, our officials are retarded. The play ended the way it should've, they just fricked up twice to get there

This whole thread makes Tennessee and Dooley look like arse clowns. There is nothing to boast about in beating Vandy.

The only part of your post I agree with, and it's not because they made a mistake with just this game. This is the Marc Curles officiation crew. Which is the same crew of the Arkansas/Florida personal foul game. They have been suspended for two weeks in 2009 for multiple blown calls.
