Bama couldn't get it done when they needed to last night. Still bitter about our free throw shooting and a few costly mistakes. I'm legitimately happy about Alabama basketball and Nate Oats...

We should really have nice squad next year especially with talent coming back and the incoming recruiting class.

Weird to go into OT with all the momentum and their top scorer fouled out to give up 23 in the period.

It was a great season, but at the end of the year there can only be one left standing. Tough to go against a blue blood as you will never get the calls.

UCLA had just scored only 25 pts in the entirety of the second half too.. then you let them score 23 in a 5 min OT period. Ooof.

Gotta hand it to their guys, they made some tough shots when it mattered.

Yeah really thought we were going to pull it out, would love to see the ball in JQuinn hands more during OT. Herb and Petty are not our best ball handlers but can't be too upset we had our chances.

I thought for sure Bama had it in the bag in OT. That was impressive for UCLA. At that point you just tip you hat to the better team.

Agree 100%. UCLA was the better team last night. That last second 3 to tie it at the end of regulation was insane though.

If you made a list of things teams do when they lose, Bama did almost all of them:
-shoot poorly
-star player doesn’t show up
-key support player doesn’t show up
-miss FT (under 50% is incredibly bad)
-fail to convert in key situations

The close calls late breaking against Bama didn’t help (out of bounds call, no charge call late), but UCLA played a much better game and was perfect in OT. It is what it is, congrats to them.

FTs killed us.

Just 50% from the line and Alabama wins with the last second three instead of OT.

Just 75% from the line and Alabama wins without needing to bother with a last second three.

I swear I think we went to the Shaquille O'Neal school for Free Throws before this tournament started.

Overall it was a great season for Bama. Bama should be a tourney team almost yearly with Oats.

It would be nice if making the NCAA BB Tournament was more the norm for Bama instead of the exception.

Great year for The Tide.

Congrats to UCLA.

The level of FT shooting in college basketball has been pretty bad, on the whole, for a while now.

It's so frustrating.
