Same here. As much as I love Lange, I think faedo is another animal. That slider is nearly un-hittable. Thank God he went over 100 pitches today

First of all, LSU doesn't want a piece of Faedo. He has pitched 27.1 innings in the postseason and has allowed exactly 1 run. Lange is good but not that good (27.0 innings, 13 runs).
Second, Lange vs. Faedo simply will not happen because the rotations don't match up.
Lange may start Game 1. He started Game 1 of the Supers, and he started Game 1 of the CWS itself. He is our Game 1 pitcher unless he is on short rest. If he can't go, he is due up in the rotation for Game 2 anyways.
Meanwhile, Faedo pitched yesterday and is not due up until Game 3. It will be interesting to see if Florida uses him in relief during Games 1 and 2 -- they did that exact thing against in Game 3 of their Supers against Wake Forest.
Game 1: Lange vs. Singer (or Dyson)
Game 2: Poche vs. Kowar
Game 3: Gilbert vs. Faedo
Game 1 will be a pitcher's duel (slight edge to Lange). Game 2 will be a shitshow (both pitchers give up a lot of runs). Game 3 better not happen or LSU will lose (Faedo will shut everything down).
LSU in 2. Or Florida in 3.

Lange isn't pitching game 1. Not happening. And the only way he pitches game 2 is if Poche puts up an L. And Gilbert is probably not starting any games.

Why are you guys so convinced that we will save Lange for Game 3? Makes no sense, especially if we post a Game 1 L with Poche.
Also, why are you guys sold on Peterson over Gilbert? Peterson hasn't started yet in the postseason, and Gilbert was given the nod most recently.

Lange can't pitch until Wed (he needs 4 days rest)
Gilbert can probably relieve on Wed (on 3+ days rest)
Peterson got stuffs just like Gilbert, in order to win game 1, Peterson needs to pitch a game of his life and LSU bats need to come alive.

You do realize Lange started against Oregon state on Friday right? So you think he will start Monday on 3 days rest? No way
Poche on Monday because he's got 5 days rest since the Florida state game so he should be good to go. Wholestaff approach on Tuesday with Peterson starting since he has experience starting before and has decent stuff when he's on. A rubber match would set up Lange vs faedo. Lange would be good to go with 5 days rest and I think Florida would be forced to pitch faedo on 4 days rest with the title on the line

Because Pitchers can't warm up and then throw 100+ in game pitches and then come back and do it again on two or three days rest....

Poche pitched Wednesday. He's DEFINITELY the game 1 starter. If we lose, You can bet your entire estate that Lange will be game 2 starter.
