At least no one will notice Saban standing for the anthem since he’s already about knee high

Sometimes people say irrelevant because they don’t care what a player says even if it’s Lebron or someone big name. This time it’s because the dude legitimately hasn’t been relevant in years. Like dude nobody’s listening to an old bench player. Shut up.

For this to be an issue, you have to ignore everything Saban has done and said to support BLM including saying "All Lives Can't Matter until Black lives matter."

Why would you have a press conference about misspeaking?

Besides, current and former players will support Saban and people in the media like Barkley and Stephen A Smith will have Saban's back.

So it'll be a non-issue, or at least it won't turn into anything Marcus Spears wants it to. This is just a tit-for-tat Spears is doing for Ryan Day praising Saban.

Marc Spears tweeted about Saban, not Marcus Spears. Two totally different people.

Marc J Spears is an ESPN NBA analyst an is not to be confused with LSUs Marcus Spears.

"Nick said all lives matter...?"

Saying "all lives matter" in any context will result in being labelled racist. Doesn't matter what Saban did or said ever in his life. Simply putting those three words together is "wrong."

Disagree. Last week, unlike most coaches, Saban doing the march made national news and was on the Today Show and Good Morning America and basically praised everywhere.

It would make sense if he didn't literally say this a month ago...

Again, you'd have to ignore everything and put up on a pedestal a one-off interview.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Barkely, yes. The rest of the vultures always looking for blood? Uh, there's not many bigger fish than Saban in the sports world.

Nah. Stephen A. has spoken at Alabama twice. He had Michael Jordan this year, Kobe last year.

Saban has too many allies.

Plus, let's just get to the meat of the bone...it's an open secret that Saban is a lifelong Democrat. These people in the media know that. They won't call him out.

Now that I know it wasn't Marcus Spears, but some rando on Twitter, I'm sure this won't go anywhere.

I for one think it would be amazing, and such a strong stance for the players to sit out just week 1!

Damn!

Lou’s former player took a shot at him in the replies!

That school is ruled by him with a iron fist he won’t listen to his players. all they care about is championships. Get you so focused on the game to distract from the real issues. But it would be nice if they did we will see.
