tRant offseason runs between the last live SEC team playing - in this case Vanderbilt in the CWS - to the first kickoff in the fall. It is like the Bible when the Jews had to wander the desert before finding the land of milk and honey. It is a dry and dusty time when insanity is at a peak waiting while there is not any live sports going on.

This is our year. We’re finally going to have the offense and QB play that we’ve been saying we were going to have each of the last 8 seasons

This year feels so different. It’s insane. I think the Orgeron era of the SEC starts this fall.

It really only runs until summer/fall camps start in earnest...
At that point we get less uniform threads and more discussion about upcoming matchups and season expectations...

2013 offense is the best we’ve had in this 8 year span. We’ll see if we can spread it out more this year and throw it more with a more fast pace offense

We need the fall camps to open up soon. Watching replays of past games on the SEC network isn't helping. Makes this part of the year worse.

It's professional baseball season. I'll check back in on football in about mid-August.

I think Georgia is out to an early lead for the offseason title, but they are going to need Flawda to frick up some more to bring it home. And we are just the guys to do it.
Tennessee hasn't even gotten off the blocks yet with their stupid Massey final baseball rankings.
Come on Serraneaux, Phat Phi, you are better than this.
Arkansas is normally a player here, but 2 and 'Que at the CWS was a bucket of ice water.
LSU will probably take it. They are still basking in the sun from their epic bowl win vs Cent Fla and winning the SEC in hoops. The fly in their proverbial ointment is the looming NCAA investigation which might temper their enthusiasm a bit, but this new spread, RPO, no-huddle offense has got them as giddy as a school girl at the homecoming dance.
