They have been out of sync the start of the third quarter for sure. Came out and threw a pick.....they just scord.

Before the game they said La Tech had not put on pads until this past Tuesday. It's a damn miracle they won.
Then again, it was Southern with a jackass 30 year old on the sideline screaming the whole game

Tech was down by 17 halfway in the third. Heck of a comeback by Tech.

La Tech has been a decent team winning 9 or more games 4 of last 6 years with a 8 win and 7 win season thrown in.
I realize we blew them out both games in 2018 and 2017 but they played hard and had a few guys with great talent. They just can’t sign the numbers like the SEC, but they are better than a lot of teams non power 5.
As far as Southern Miss goes, they used to be very salty. No idea what has happened to them but they have been a train wreck for a while now.
ETA: Louisiana (ULL) gave us a much better game last year when we opened the season with them in Nawlins. They stayed within 10 points and had an 11 win season. It’s early but they might be the second best team in the state , of course behind LSU.

That winless season with Ellis Johnson a year after Fedora had them almost crashing the BCS. Also they got left behind by the AAC

Plus, they had some administrative malfeasance, basketball was put on probation?? and the campus got hit by a tornado all since Ellis Johnson if I remember correctly.

I’ll take that for a first game, missing tons of players and some starters, and just having started using pads Tuesday due to practice restrictions.
