The real determining factor will be if they can get Wikipedia to acknowledge it. If Wikipedia says it, you know in 10-15 years people will believe it is legit

How is that different from the 9-2 1941 Alabama team claiming a national title because they were No. 1 in the Houlgate ranking system (true story)? Or the 1925 title even though "HAF and CFRA were not founded until years later, meaning Alabama’s 1925 title was retroactively awarded."
