Kirby Smart: a Classic Tale of Coming Up Short

The mutts are back at it with their “best team in the country” schtick we hear about every year and this goober at the helm devising all the ways he can and will frick it up. Let’s do a brief recap of his accomplishments so far:
1) this fake punt with his back up qb “snuck in” on 4th and 11? WTF. Kirby is one of the worst in game coaches out there. There’s a reason he flounders the moment talent levels get close.
9) this hair cut basically sums the man up well
8) QB roster management is as bad as it gets for a major program. I’ll skip the obvious Justin fields comments but am I reading this right? This guy started 2020 as the best QB available?

Not sure when the annual ride will end but they’ll all be back on signing day 2022 to let us know that it’s magically “their year” for the 42nd year in a row.

So any coach that doesn’t win a ring in their first 5 years of being a HC is bad? Cool. Can’t believe those bama suckers are fine with Saban. Took that guy 10 years to get a ring.

Did you expect Smart to walk into the league better than Saban? It’s hilarious to see fans say Saban is the goat and then turn around and say Smart is a bad HC because he’s not better than him.

So you’re saying Smart is better than Saban since Smart has a better record through 5 years at a comparable school. Gotcha. That’s high praise.

My point was that GA talent is no way comparable to Michigan State talent. I don't think Kirby is a bad coach at all, but we can both admit he is not Saban.

Absolutely. No one is because Saban is the goat. That's why its weird to me that ppl act like the bar for being a good coach is consistently beating Saban.

Must be hard on you poor thing. If you can’t remember 4 years ago it’s rough to try and come up with ancient history like 41 years ago.
