BREAKING: Georgia, Florida to host recruits for Jacksonville matchup
quote:
While there still won’t be any contact between coaches and recruits allowed due to the off campus nature of the game, both schools – not just the designated home team like Oklahoma and Texas do for their annual neutral site matchup – now will be able to provide tickets for prospects and their families.

Just shows you how far Florida has fallen.
Kirby is more worried about the recruits than his opponent.

Jacksonville is a shite hole. Not sure why either school would want recruits coming there.

Stop acting like a little bitch. It's not like this doesn't help you too.

per kirby:
"So it’s an opportunity for us to bring these kids that fly in from all over the country, what game do they want to come see Georgia play? They’d like to see Georgia play Florida."
why would recruits want to come watch georgia play a "fallen" florida team?
kirby still thinks it's their best game on the schedule, apparently.
you don't. so which is it?

Being the best game on Georgia's regular season schedule doesn't mean a whole lot most years

Excellent, now people can quit bitching about trying to move the game.

Kirby said the recruits want to watch UGA play Florida.
That’s because it’s such a fun environment of a game. Doesn’t mean the game itself will be any good.

Good. The game should stay in Jacksonville.

It's never been about the recruits. its about the money.
As bad as I hated to see the iron Bowl leave B'ham, once the IB was moved that university took off.
J'ville is making a ton off this game and the folks in Athens know it. You will know its the money when Kirby doesn't say, ok, great, we're fine now, leave it in J'ville.

Florida beat Georgia two years ago with Merlins at the helm.
I’m thinking we will be even more competitive now that’s he and Grantham are gone. Georgia should live it up while they still can.

Both UGA and UF make a shitton more money from the game being in Jax every year than they woudl with it being at home every other year. Jax definitely knows they need to make it worth the while for both sides to ahve it there.

I understand having the "right" to give a kid his official visit to JAX.
But if the opportunity to visit Athens on another weekend exists, then that should be the priority.
Kids only get 5 officials.
Can they take 2 to the same school?

I think the rule was changed to accommodate OU and Texas. They were able to host recruits at the cotton bowl for their neutral site game. Bc uga been complaining about it and it didn’t change until ou and to decided to join.

Recruits WILL be able to attend this game now, but staffs will not be able to talk or visit with them or families while in Jacksonville.

Sweet.
I didn't want WLOCP to leave Actionville.
Best of both worlds.
