Lane mentioned as a replacement of Manny Diaz.

Lane doesn’t handle distract well.

I guess it's better than worrying about teams like Georgia State.

He left a better program at FAU.

Maybe fla or USC with Okla a possibility if Riley jumps to the NFL or USC.

It's not unwarranted. We've looked shitty on defense this year and I have no doubt Lane wants to be the first former assistant to beat Saban extremely bad. He's been game planning this game for awhile, not to mention the bye week to prep as well.

This is going to be one hell of a test. I'd feel a lot better if it was a few more weeks away. Going into this game the favorite based only on recruiting rankings and the past.

I actually could see this. Lord knows Kiffin would love south beach. However, I doubt Miami would be willing to pay what it would take to get him.

At this point, just about any SEC job is a good enough job you should be able to keep your coach unless it's a top 10 job. I consider those in no order to be Bama, UF, UGA, LSU, Clemson, OSU, Texas, Oklahoma, USC & maybe Oregon. I don't see him or USC wanting a reunion, and I don't think he'll want to deal with everything going on at LSU. Any of those other 8 come available, he's gone. I would hope we'd be able to keep him if it's not one of those. UCLA could be the exception if that comes available since it gets him back near his kids.

Maybe, just maybe, his goal is to build a power house program….and he thinks he can do that at Ole Miss?

Honestly it isn’t too crazy of an idea. He has mentioned paying too much in taxes, and we know he would love being that close to the beach with hot women all year long.

I doubt it, but I could see it happening. I can see him staying forever if he started winning big.

I think these going to stay at Ole Miss for a few years break tons of records there but then inevitably dip for the NFL

Miami has easy arse schedule and easy recruiting. I'd jump if I was him.

I think he may leave OM sooner then later but not for Miami. He could def recruit better but i kind of doubt he would do it. FAU ties dont run that deep lol

Who can blame Ole Miss fans for being scared? They know they don't have the prestige or money to keep him.
