As it's devolved over the last few weeks, this could be a situation where whomever Kiffin sleights, that fan base could claim, "they didn't want him," and it would be somewhat believable.

I still want him, BTW.

Considering how Kiffin has conducted himself the last few weeks while losing 4 of his last 5 games, including one to his in state rival, it’s understandable that a lot of Ole Miss fans wouldn’t feel too upset about him leaving for Auburn now

Same here, but he’s lost his shine a little

If it’s going to be this way each year I’d rather he leave

That shine will be back once he raids the transfer portal.

If he stays, I think I'll be happy - but it'll take some time to get back on the Lane Train given how the last couple weeks have played out.

If he goes, it'll depend on the next hire but I'd be happy that we would be looking towards more stability.

At the end of the day, at this point, I'm fine either way.

12 million a year on a ten year contract from Auburn is the sports board rumor. Since OM’s contract is for 4years, he’s turning down around 60 plus or thereabouts million guaranteed. There’s no way he’s not seriously considering that.

I don’t believe that for one second.

I absolutely want him too. I couldn't care less that he lost the last 4 out of 5. That roster has lower tier SEC talent. It's ranked 9th in the SEC per the 247 team talent composite rankings.

He will get top 10 talent at Auburn.

Nobody is giving a 12 year deal, especially for Kiffin.

I haven’t wanted him for a week. I’m praying he goes. He has played this as bad as he could from an ole miss side. I know the majority want him gone

He would be a fool not to take this. Especially, since he is practically guaranteed to get fired before it runs out and get paid 12m a year not to coach.

It is going to be this way every year he starts off hot.

If it helps any next year the middle stretch looks pretty salty and y'all have Georgia lurking later in the year. I don't think you'll be getting a ton of people beating his door down though an 8-4 type season would be pretty solid.

It’s not happening. He’s not getting 120 mil after going 1-4. He should be very thankful OM will forgive and he has a job going forward.

Anyone of us flirting with a job and company knowing, then underperforming, would be fired immediately.

And he's fully aware of that. He knows now is the time to strike while the iron is hot. They've played some patsy SEC East opponents while he's been at Ole Miss and it's allowed him to have a better record even though Ole Miss has little talent.

Truth

I still think it’s a good hire or that he’ll get OM in a better spot in time. It’d look much better if he’d won some of those games but him not winning them isn’t the nail in the coffin.
