Sumlin:
2012 11-2
2013 9-4

5 mil/year

Jimbo:
2018 9-4
2019 8-5

7.5 mil/year

Did A&M make a mistake here? I say yes.

Eh, I wouldn't say that.

This is the year for Jimbo though. If they lose more than 2 games with that schedule and two full recruiting cycles of his guys in then that's a disaster.

Texas A&M (and Arky) should have stayed in the Texas conference. There are historical and geographical rivalries that is better for those schools. The only consistent advantage to being in the SEC is money.

Also, I agree on KS >Jimbo. He'll be gone in a few years because their fans will look at what Coach O did without the coaching resume in just a few years and won't accept anything less than the same outcome at aTm.

Comparing the LSU standard to the A&M standard just won't work. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Or should I say apples to figs?

Yep they sold their souls, so much for their sacred "traditions"

It may not be the same, but A&M fans won't see it that way. It's the Saban effect. It took Nick Saban 22 games I believe to have Alabama ranked #1 in the polls. Before that, the Mike Shula, Dennis Franchione and Mike Dubose decade left Alabama a little out of the limelight to put it mildly. How many coaches lost their jobs in the SEC alone because they couldn't replicate Nick Saban?

Kevin Sumlin

2018: 5-7
2019: 4-8

He inherited a team that went 10-4 and 7-6 the two seasons prior to his arrival.

Wholeheartedly disagree. Sumlin ran his momentum into the ground. Fisher is building and it's hard to do in the West plus, he has to come in and play Clemson in the non-con during his first two seasons on the job.

Jimbo hasn't lost less than three games in a season since 2014. Only A&M could have been desperate enough to break the bank for that washed shlub

Maybe you should study Arkansas football history before you make ignorant comments. You probably weren't born when we left the old SWC so no way you have a clue.

Enjoy playing in a weak conference and post elsewhere.
