Kentucky with a much better win than some thought

I know some were concerned about our nip and tuck matchup with lowly Wofford. And believe you me we’re pleased with your support of the program, but never fear, as it turns out Wofford is actually the highest NET ranked team to lose in this year’s tournament. Now had Maryland upset LSU, they would’ve...oh, wait....nope. We’d still have the better win.

I must say I’m a bit taken back. I just can’t understand the hostility. I merely noticed several fans of other SEC teams (in fact, quite a few LSU fans) were concerned that perhaps the Kentucky victory today wasn’t a particularly good one. I came across a statistic I thought might set some minds at ease so I rushed right on over to the rant to do just that. I like to do that sort of thing as I think of myself as a bit of an SEC goodwill ambassador. So, as you can see, my motives were pure.

It’s a sad day when A Kentucky fan has to defend a win against wofford.

Wofford was a quality team, I’ve seen no one dispute that. Yes even responded to threads saying how good they were.
Hope that helps you sleep better.

Wofford is legit. That coach knows what he is doing. They are a fun team to watch.

You can thank their best player having a terrible shooting day (some credit to d) for the win.
UK fortunate there.

I expected Auburn to win that game and picked them in my bracket. That said, they hit Kansas with a sledgehammer. I knew that Self and his team would not repect the shooting range of Brown, Harper, and Okeke.

Wofford's best shooter went 0 for 12 from 3 and Kentucky still only won by 6.
I watched the whole game. Those white boys outhustled and outworked UK for most of the game. If a few more shots had fallen, this thread does not exist.

You’re making me wonder if KY has even been in this before. Why was this thread needed? Lame

If Herro hits a couple more shots if that happens, Kentucky still wins.
We can do the what if’s all day.
But the reality is, Kentucky played defense well enough (Herro specifically) to shut McGee down. It’s no coincidence he also didn’t shoot well against a more athletic UNC either.
