Kentucky should leave the SEC

I'm now officially converted to the growing group of UK fans who are ready to put out feelers and gauge interest in leaving the SEC for the B1G or ACC. The football program has gotten so bad that it is seriously harming the university and our flagship basketball program. Plus, being in the SEC hurts our basketball program anyway because we play inferior teams, don't adequately prepare for the tournament and basically disappear from the national stage during the months of Jan and Feb. The B1G is the best fit if they would also grab Kansas. The ACC would give us some great rivalries too but I don't really want to share a conference with Louisville. Either way, the football only SEC offers Kentucky nothing since we are not competitive in football.

shite, hoss. You field 11 players on those two plays and you are a winner against Florida.
10 men on the field won't play in any conference.

Your team is getting better. Total melt down last night.
We lucked out. That's all I can say.

Stop posting please. UK is a charter member of the SEC, and one of the Big 2 in the conference.
And aside from coaching blunders, we win that game last night.

I mean, what if Coach Cal had recruits visiting last night? Last night is yet another example of why the football program is a national punchline. The buffoonery (mainly displayed by the coaching staff, I mean, don't they know how to signal time out?) displayed year in year out rubs off and hurts the entire university.

Big Blue 8 Titties should leave the rant.

Just one game? No, its 31 against FL to go with the recent 26 we had against Tenn, the 12 or 13 we had against USCe until Spurrier croaked, the 2-55 against Bama, etc, etc, etc. I'd rather go 6-6 every year in the ACC or B1G for the football folks and watch more top level b-ball in conference every year.

Most of the UK fans on the rant are very big football people and so they criticize. The majority of Kentucky fans, however, are a lot like me and are fed up with the ineptness displayed over decades by UK athletics in trying to field a good football team, and realize that given a lot of factors, population, demographics and the much lessor popularity of high school football here than in the rest of the south, this effort will always fail.

Go read my thread from this morning on the SEC scoreboard.
Our problem right now isn't talent, it's coaching preparation.

Maybe if fans like you would focus on football in September instead of basketball recruiting we wouldn't lose 31 straight to anybody. Stoops hasn't been here 31 years but our entitled basketball only fans and administration has been.

No. We are an original member of the SEC. We belong here. Our basketball program is one of if the not the best in the country(as it should be). Our football team is getting back to the point to where they aren't the laughing stock of the entire conference anymore, and aren't marked as an easy win by everyone in the country. Going to the B1G or ACC means to puss out and throw everything away
