Jesus, he's lucky to have made it out alive, that car looks awful.

Yep. They're saying that him not wearing a seatbelt and being thrown from the car saved his life.

Glad to hear he's moving his arms and legs too. The kid is very very lucky to be alive.

I imagine him being physically fit helped him survive the impact as well.

Fun fact about that traffic light where the truck is sitting...turning right will take you to Captain D's, turning left will take you to Zaxbys...two more ways to die within 50 yards of that truck.

The Latest.

quote:

Less than 36 hours after his car flipped several times and he was ejected, landing 100 feet from the vehicle, University of Kentucky football player Ashely Lowery’s breathing tube and neck brace were removed, his sedation lifted, and he sat up in a hospital bed and spoke to friends and relatives.

He apparently doesn't even have any broken bones.

Prayers sent. Played against Lowery in high and middle school. Hate to see these kind of things happen.

Fortunately, apparently, he's beat the odds. They're going to get him up to walk tomorrow. If you saw the pics of his car, it's crazy that he can even move at this point. Amazing.

I'm glad the kid is recovering and hope that he wasn't drunk when this happened.

I don't think that was the case. The stretch of road that he wrecked on is where a lot of accidents happen, and the weather here in Georgia has been absolutely awful this last week.
