Kentucky FB hasn't played a OOC P5 team other than Louisville/Indiana since 1990

They played at North Carolina on September 22, 1990 (28 years ago). Since then date, they have not played a regular season game against a Power 5 team outside of Louisville and Indiana.
Their future schedules are set through 2022 and have none. That will be 32 years and counting. Crazy.

So? What’s the point of this thread?

I doubt they will. Though I would love for them to start back the Indiana series.

It's unique. I would bet my last dollar there isn't another P5 program in America who has only played 2 other P5 teams OOC in the last 30 years (1 of which only became P5 about 5 years ago).
It has to be pretty boring as a UK fan. I complain about our schedule because we never get good OOC teams at home, but UK literally has the same schedule every year : Louisville, MAC school, WKU/MTSU/ULM, 1AA school.

Basetkball is different than football though. Power 5 means nothing mainly because its power 6 now. Also the top 2-3 teams from a handful of the other colleges can compete with most too. But ya still crazy, shows how many big tourneys they play in every year.
This is football

Can't blame him. These are all basketball schools in this thread. Or were. Indiana, Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina. I had to do a double take

Since 1990 Alabama has played
Penn State (3x)
NC State (2x)
BYU
UCLA (2x)
Oklahoma (2x)
FSU (2x)
Clemson
Virginia Tech (2x)
Duke (2x)
Michigan
West Virginia
Wisconsin
Southern Cal
Others have played a similar variety. It would just kind of suck as a fan to see almost the exact same 12 game schedule every season.

This is perfectly understandable since UK has the skill level of a non power five football team.

And they still cant win 8 games

They've developed a hotly contested rivalry with Western Knetucky.
What do you want them to do?

Since 1990 Mississippi State has played:
Texas 2x
Baylor(they pussed out of coming to Starkville)
Oklahoma State 3x(3rd game in Houston Kickoff Classic)
BYU 4x
Oregon 2x
West Virginia 2x
Georgia Tech 2x
Of course we play teams in bowl games as have others. We are starting a home and home with Kansas State this year.

It's just crazy.

It's just under Mullen where that happened. From 2010-2016 we only played one. Oklahoma State 2013

1996: Kentucky 3, Indiana 0
The Kentucky Wildcats prevailed over visiting Indiana in a September 1996 non-conference game that nearly made it to the end of the fourth quarter without any points. UK’s Brian Johnson drilled a 26-yard kick through the uprights with 14 seconds left in the final period to give Big Blue its first win of the season.
I was at that game and I still have flashbacks of watching grass grow.

Meh, this isn't a big deal. If our roster improves enough I wouldn't mind seeing an OOC neutral site game in the future but not sure what other school would schedule us.

It's just interesting there haven't been occasional games with random teams like Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, etc. Or other P5 teams around the same level.
I don't think anyone would expect Kentucky to be lining up Top 10 OOC games every year, but none since 1990 other than L'ville/Indiana is just sort of surprising.
