Never thought I’d see a Tom Crean team with a better defense than offense.

By the way, KenPom is still big gay right now

This is when you have to apply some context to these rankings. If you're going to push the pace and be a high tempo offensive team, its always going to negatively affect your defensive ranking. Way too early to tell if LSU will be poor defensively; they have a lot of outstanding athletes who will be able to play defense if they buy in.

Holy shite. That's going to come back and bite LSU's arse several times this season. I don't understand how Wade is so horrible at coaching defense.

Not true at all. Wade has always been a poor defensive coach dating back to his VCU days. He's never going to change. Any team that can shoot threes decently well will beat LSU 9 out of 10 times.

So pushing the pace and thereby creating numerous more possessions for both teams won't negatively affect your defensive ranking?? Really??

VOLS really need to improve the offensive efficiency. Have been truly awful against zones. I would venture to guess they are probably close to 1 point per possession in possessions they see zone and a top 10ish offense against man to man.

Incorrect as per usual on all things LSU related and you.

2 seasons ago our defense was #59 in kenpom

At VCU his defenses were #24 and #41 in kenpom

Now that the Bills won’t play until the 15th of January, please don’t spit the bit, LSU.

Considering LSUs win loss record over the last two seasons this does not appear to be true.

This team is better than wades sec championship squad.

Tennessee better hope they can run and keep up because no one will be able to shut this squad down with how many scoring options we have.

Looking at KenPom before he drops the preseason calculations isn't useful.
