Your six is the obvious favorites at this point and not sure we could expand to seven without an amazing showing in the Big 12/SEC challenge. Imo its much more likely we shrink to 5 instead of expanding to 7.

Agree - with Auburn ineligible & Kentucky's overall record from OOC so bad, the only other teams that really seem to have an outside shot at this point are Ole Miss and State. And that climb feels pretty uphill.

As of now, the 6 that are in are in pretty decent shape NET wise with all 6 of them in the Top 35. Auburn would have a real shot if they were eligible with their current NET (#64) and the way they are playing (like a top 20/25 team).

People are having this "the SEC isn't that good because Kentucky is down" but there is a real shot that the SEC finishes as the third best conference if you trust the numbers.

That hasn't happened in a long time

#9 - LSU

We may need to organize another protest or put a billboard to avoid the dreaded 8/9 seed.

As an Arkansas fan its important to watch Auburn and root for them. After they lost to us this past week they became a Quad 1 win. Little stuff like that is hard to track and account for when projecting the end of the year.

It's as deep as it's been in a long time - both deep in terms of solid teams (6 of them per the metrics) and deep in terms of not having terribad teams (Vanderbilt and A&M borderline).

There just aren't any truly elite teams (Alabama has been one for 4 weeks, but I think that is going to taper off to just "really good" like we played last night).

The thing with LSU is that if they got the right 2nd round matchup and shot well they could absolutely upset a #1.

If they played Gonzaga they could lose 120-72 (though, I think all of us could lose to Gonzaga by 25).

So you’re telling me, that these projections are saying I can watch the rest of Alabama’s regular season and only see 3 losses?

Nope.

Nope we don’t believe that.

We struggle with turnovers, defensive rebounding, transition defense and we're way down the list 3 pt attempts allowed. Those are areas you would to be strong in come tournament time.

Yeah, there isn't much sexiness to the league (except for Bama right now) but a bunch of solid teams. Frank Martin was a real bro this year but not playing all those OOC games and losing some of them, only to come into the league and win 10 games.

How sweet was it when he nailed that 3 after the broadcast JUST got done talking about how he loved and wanted that shot?

I completely forgot Auburn was not eligible.

I was about to say that an upset of Missouri at home this week would put them in a pretty good spot to be the 7th SEC team.

It's safe to say that Buzz isn't getting there this year. What a disaster of a season.
