Well, he damn near lost to North Carolina

But he didn't..that game is no more of a reflection on Clemson than Miami nearly beating Florida this year..In both cases, more like than not, Clemson and UF blows those opponents away in a rematch

Better Season? I guess is you are into stat packing but Trevor Lawrence hasn't lost a game and KB lost to Wyoming...

Both are undefeated in conference and have eyes set on conference championships.

If you're gonna lose to a Wyoming, the first week is the time. Its almost like a different season towards the end.

KB was smart on his choice of Mizzou. It was a perfect plug and play for one year scenario for him

You don’t think Mizzou blows away Wyoming in a rematch...lol

Look, Lawrence is an awesome talent. Maybe the most talented QB in all of CFB. He’s just having a somewhat disappointing year. KB hasn’t been perfect by any means, but he’s played well and he’s an excellent leader. I would think Clemson fans would respect him a little more and be happy for him.

I am delighted KB is doing well...Truly. But there is a narrative out there that Trevor Lawrence has regressed and that's not the case. If Dabo does like other HC's of the tops QB's in that nation, he leaves Lawrence in games that are blowouts to stat pack and Clemson just doesn't do that. Most people that are not Clemson fans are making the majority of there comments from stats and what the sports talking heads are saying but TL is making some damned impressive throws to keep plays alive...

Clemson has offensive problems, but it isn't Lawrence. Our O-line is killing us with stupid mistakes suck as in the UNC game I counted 6 false starts and our running game is not quite where it needs.

Everyone is expecting TL to play every game like Clemson Vs Alabama and football doesn't work that way...I wished it did.

I guess I forgot to tell you this, sorry. Winning the SEC puts you right where you need to be for the national championship. My bad.

fortunately for you, and man you're lucky, ACC is so bad you get to bypass everything to get there.

As for common opponent comparison just look at Bama...KB was manhandled by the Tide and TL lit them up like a Roman candle.

Being undefeated and 2nd in the nation trumps any stat comparison

Clemson hasn't lost a game, and if we're going to be honest Lawrence hasn't been the main catalyst for a any of Clemson's wins in the last 2 seasons.

The Kid is completing 61% with 8tds and 5 int. That's not a byproduct of sitting during 4th quarters.

He has regressed. Now, that may be due to injury...it's hard to know, but his play is worse regardless.

He generated 3300 yards, 30 TD to 4 INT with a 65% completion rate and tore up Notre Dame and Alabama in the playoffs as a true freshman. That's not really just potential, that's a really good season.

What people are so surprised about to start this season is he simply hasn't improved at all and arguably is playing worse.

His Offensive and Defensive lines are the reason Clempson won.

He made a total of 1 good throw vs Alabama. He didn't make mistakes which was good, but he was not pressured or anything all night.

but most of the hype from his freshman year was generated from his potential

Yeah - potential... Not the 375 yards/3 TD's in the natty daddy.

POTENTIAL.

Apparently T.Lawrence has a bruised shoulder since the second week of the season and is just now getting back to 100%

But he sucked in week 1 as well

If only Mizzou hadn't shite the bed against Wyoming they and Bryant would be getting a lot more love. I still have no understanding of that game.

Trevor Lawrence lit Alabama and Notre Dame up in the playoffs the same as he lit most ACC teams up last year during the season. It wasn't like he played this special game against Alabama like people say. He played like that against regular season competition. Clemson beat Notre Dame the same way they beat most everybody last year. The only reason you say it was special is because of the quality of team (Alabama) was they was playing against.

I'm not just saying this and I have never given this excuse to a player before, but I think TL is bored af. He looked at the schedule and the fact he's got to do two more years of playing lesser competition before he can make $ he already has in the bag, and is just bored.

I mean he beat the best team in college football for the past decade or so soundly while leading his team to a National Championship victory, was someone else the king of CFB last year???

Possibly true. But if he is bored he is bored with all teams on the collegiate level because he has been beating ACC and SEC teams and any other conference the same. I guess for him none of us are any competition.
