LSU shouldn't drop much in the polls, and MSU probably won't move up. It's not a far fetched idea that Auburn loses to Georgia and Alabama and with each upset to other teams the possibility SEC getting 2 in grows.

LSU goes 3-0 to finish season

MSU goes 2-1 to finish season

Assuming Auburn loses to both Alabama and Georgia.

Who would get the NY6 bowl invite?

LSU doesn't belong in any poll.

They're a 6-3 team that lost to Troy.

So LSU would be 5-3 (8-4), Auburn would be 5-3 (8-4) and MSU would be 5-3 (9-3).

MSU best win would be over LSU, LSU's best win would be over Auburn, Auburn's best win would be over MSU. NONE of them would get a NY6 Bowl Invite.

The only scenario i see where we get a NY6 bowl is if both Bama and Georgia get in the CFB playoff. That is a possibility but I think it is still kinda small one. Need some other conference teams to lose games. Or if we win out and go 10-2 i think both us and bama could go to a NY6 bowl. I think. Not sure if there is room for 2 teams to get a non-playoff NY6 bowl

Wouldn’t LSU be 9-3 if they win out?

They’d have momentum for next year. Auburn might be screaming to fire its coach. Miss St won’t travel well enough to get the pick.

HAHAHA,,

How many Natty's does Southern COCKS have??

Don't the cocks have an 8-13 bowl record with only 21 Appearances in 120 years.?

Arent the Southern Cocks 6-3 also?

Yeh, you have a reason to pick on LSU..

And I dare say they were over credited for beating what is apparently a shite UF team.

Yes... and we aren’t ranked. Him being an SC fan and our history doesn’t invalidate what he said.

No. Sugar Bowl is one of the CFP semifinal sites (along with the Rose Bowl).

Most likely landing spot for another SEC team in the NY6 would be Atlanta in the Peach - possibly against the G5 program that gets in. Although I could see Cotton Bowl, especially if it is LSU, since it would be closer to home for them and their fans.

Follow up question: If Auburn finishes the regular season 8-4 does Gus get the shitcan?

That actually helps LSU in the discussion.

Money is a factor here. LSU and Auburn both travel well to bowl games. A few years ago (hell last year too) Auburn got a bowl invite over more worthy teams and the bowl committee admitted it was because we travel, book hotels, fill the stadium, and spend money.

Being away from NO means LSU fans will have to spend more money to watch their team’s bowl game.

LSU fans would have a good showing in the Cotton Bowl and decent in the Peach.
