Kansas about to respond to NCAA allegations - when will Auburn admit they have their NOA?

Shouldn't they try to get ahead of this before the tourney? Or are they stalling until the end of the season?
Kansas will release public response to allegations of major NCAA violations on Thursday
Auburn expects basketball program to receive Notice of Allegations from NCAA
School has not denied that it has [already] received an NOA

Why the heck would they do that?

Auburn is a public school. A FOIA request would answer the question as to whether they've received an NOA, and you can rest assured those in the media have made those requests. Maybe they still haven;t received on yet. There's really no reason for them to lie when that information can be obtained fairly easily. And why on earth would they want to "get ahead of it" during the season. You saw how dealing with all that stuff right before the tournament went for LSU last year. (not well)

Auburn apparently told Forde they aren't talking about it and won't confirm or deny if they got a NOA or not

Last I checked, we fired 3 coaches, suspended one player for a year, suspended another player for over a year, lost an entire recruiting class, made the families pay back any financial benefit they received, and went through an FBI investigation into the matter.
Does that count as getting ahead of this?

Right but Pat Forde also has never been shy about issuing FOIA requests. He did that for Wade's university phone records last year. Do you not think he's done the same with Auburn? Just because Auburn wouldn't speak to him directly to answer questions doesn't mean he can't get the answers he wants through other legal means

Auburn has denied @SInow records request asking for a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA. School has not denied that it has received an NOA; only saying that "Any documents related to an investigation of this nature are not subject to an open records request."

Last week, while in Auburn, I went to the General Counsel's office to check on said records request and was told there was a "responsive document" that was with athletics. So it stands to reason that Auburn has a basketball NOA and simply isn't acknowledging it. MORE ...

Four other public universities -- N.C. State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and South Carolina -- have acknowledged and/or released their NOAs. Private schools USC and TCU also have acknowledged. Private school Creighton has neither confirmed nor denied.

There have been several Court rulings regarding release of documents in an open NCAA investigation, albeit not in Alabama that I can find, that have disagreed with that position. Weird why Auburn would play possum given all that we already know

I mean I understand the sentiment on who is reporting it, but it doesn't change the fact that they're not denying they received it and won't release it.

What does FOIA say about how quickly the requestee has to respond ? You can FOIA all day long and then take it to court, but by that time it will already be long over.
