Let's not suck his dick yet, Saban and Byrne deserve a ton of credit for ensuring this hire and transition was successful in the spring and creating a very stable situation for him to inherit and DeBoer deserves credit for getting solid transfers to replace those who left and convincing players like Proctor, etc. to stay. If he sustains this momentum Year 1, good on him.

Ray Perkins has gotta be the most overrated head coach in the history of football, normally I'm sympathetic to Gulf Coast natives (he being from Petal, MS) but he was not a great head coach wherever he coached. His estate should give Parcells and LT royalties for that 1981 NY Giants playoff season.

Thank god he's at least undefeated vs Cal (and USC).

What's Freeze and Kelly's record?

Like most coaches, the best success he had was at Bama.

That one playoff season in the NFL and his tie to Bear from his college days are the only reasons he got that job I believe, did Bear hand pick him for the job?

Half of the Rant could go 4-0 coaching Alabama’s 5-star roster and depth chart.

Can't, DeBoer has never been a HC in the NFL.

Year three. In college football you always find out about a coach who takes over a great winning program in year three. Thats game 26+ish not game 4. The first two years with that roster are cake.

Amazing how the goal posts keep getting moved.

"He can't recruit." *recruiting doesn't skip a beat* "Okay but he won't sustain it."

"He'll go 6-6 in year one if Bama is lucky." *4-0* "Okay but anyone can win with that roster. Wait until Saban's athletes leave."

"Kirby will murder him." *beats Kirby* "Okay but he blew a 28 point lead. Kirby will own the rematch."

And after he disproves your new absurd claims, you'll toss another one out that can't be disproved for a few years...

You'd think after 17 years of failed Saban prophecies (Saban wont win at Bama, Tuberville will run Saban out of the conferenc, etc), Auburn fans would grow tired of that rotting egg on their faces but alas, here they are again flaunting their unabashed dumbassery.

Good thing recruiting hasn't skipped a beat. Good thing four of the top playmakers from the UGA game were Deboer's players. Good thing he proved he could beat a team (Texas) with Washington's roster that Saban couldn't beat with this one. Good thing he took an inferior Washington roster and went undefeated against Cal and USC, something Freeze and Kelly can't say...
