Just me or was Tua uncharacteristically off vs. LSU?

Only watched the 1st half then left for UGA game. But what I recall was Tua not being in the zip code on his bread & butter slant routes, and they were open. I assume he got better given how the score tightened.

Not taking anything away from LSU- Burrow balled out on the biggest of stages. Based on 1st half the better team won. Just curious what the all-knowing rant has to say....

fwiw- I was pulling for Bama. Much better match up should UGA make the SECC. LSU gonna be a problem.

I think it was missing practice for so long effected his timing routes a bit

He was playing with an amputated foot that was connected back to his leg with duct tape

He had not practiced in a few weeks

He practiced the week before the game. Excuse denied.

It wasn’t a fair game and that’s why LSU won.

Not really. Same 55% completion rate he had against the only other "ranked" team they played: Aggy.

Saban sent Tua out there no better than 70% while saying after the game he was 100% ready to go then corrected himself and said 90%.

Nick Saban is an a-hole. He was an arse at LSU, and he’s still one today

Did you consider that LSU was the first team that he faced this year with a pulse. He played well.

Have to agree with this. Honestly so stupid to insist that Tua is 100% when he’s obviously not, and then to call plays as if he can still run...

He did the same thing last year.

He was 25/42 (59%) in 2018 vs LSU.
He was 21/40 (52%) in 2019 vs LSU.

A1abana fans didn’t listen when this was brought up throughout the year.

56% - not bad!

No. No. Now it’s “he was still under anesthesia from the surgery that was horribly botched where they accidentally attached a foot long balogna and cheese subway sandwich to his ankle instead of his foot. But if he’d have been conscious he would have thrown for 5000 yards 27 TDs and run for 4999 yards and 28 TDs”

21/40, 53%, 48.8 QBR.

I thought LSU did a pretty good job of taking away the short passing game. We got beat on a few deep balls (especially two plays that combined for 149 yards) and we got beat by Najee Harris in the second half - he had 124 all-purpose yards in two drives.

I’d be curious to see a passing chart for the game. Tua had 10 completions for 20+ yards but I’m not sure exactly how many were deep patterns vs. YAC. I know at least two big ones were deep sideline routes, and I feel like I saw him complete several 10-15 yard crossing routes but I could be mistaken.

That's the real Tua. Did you even watch last years NC? Tua is overrated

He has been less than great in his last three big games as a starter per some bama fans. UGA SEC Championship, Clemson Natty, and LSU. But I think he is just trying to do too much because the defense was getting torched.
