Threw caution to the wind and hired Mike Leach. That guy has coached crap programs and won his entire career. To be given the keys to real talent? Not to mention he has now coached the Big 12 and SEC. He might be settled in for the rest of his career at State like Jackie Wayne. Which is a good move and a better place than Texas Tech or WSU.
But I could see that quicker than Josh Huepel leaving UT for his Alma Mater.

I think he’s on the back end of his career. I don’t think he’s got a job like that left in him.

I think they get Venables. It’s his time and he’s earned it.

I have no doubt he is on the back end. But imagine him having top talent at his fingertips. Oklahoma wouldn’t have lost to OSU last night. That Oklahoma team was disorganized and undisciplined. Time will tell that Lincoln is not that great a leader. He bolted to avoid a great conference. He didn’t want another SEC arse beating. His therapist advised him.

Just out of curiosity has one Oky poster been right about anything? Leach is your best bet but not long term. He is heading to the rocking chair before long. Kiffen is your next best bet. But I think he has his sights on something bigger than Oklahoma.
