That goes without saying but because of the chase for television revenues, the quality of athletic programs that you're able to choose from becomes limited.
I'm sure Louisville, Clemson, FSU even Georgia Tech would have sold their souls to come to the SEC and would have been solid choices but money matters more than tradition, proximity, ect and so we end up with Mizzou

Competitiveness in athletics comes way after TV money and research money when it comes to expansion which makes Louisville a poor candidate
