Just heard an interesting stat on PAPN: Dooley's losses at Tenn

Derek Dooley, every year at Tennessee, only lost to ranked teams, and one unranked.
Not nearly as bad as Vols remember it being.
Definitely better than the next few coaches.

They like to blame Dooley and Kiffin when the real issue has always been the fat pumpkin sitting in the AD chair.

Not in any official capacity, you’re right. But that fat fricker interjected at every turn. He and his cronies have had their hands in every major football decision since they forced him out as HC.
Maybe he isn’t to blame, but rather the idiots at the school that keep listening.
Either way, I’m excited about the future of UT. Every time we think they’re at the bottom, they just keep on digging.

I can’t speak for literally every single other sport at UT(LSU SEC basketball champs lol), don’t know what the frick is the problem there, but football is definitely him and his cronies.

Lol he had 0 involvement with the university of Tennessee from the day he was fired to around 2017. He spent most of that time at ETSU helping get their football program running.

I’m just relaying to you what has been told to me by people around the school that I trust more than some rando online that likes to use lol

UT has a booster problem. This last round got so ugly, and was such a circus, and was so public, that no one they'd want would touch them with a 10 foot pole. They are in a bad, bad spot.
Auburn had similar problems a few years ago. They somehow fixed their booster problem and the program is better for it. The days of car dealers picking coaches over a cigar and a few bourbons are over....at least everywhere else.
