I just don't understand how the Bama fan base never seemingly fully appreciated JJ. I'm not saying he was not appreciated, just that as an LSU fan, he was the back I was the most concerned with when LSU faced the Tide. Great kid with a great story and an exceptional talent that was under utilized by Saban. Saban's preference for the 2 Harris' actually did him a favor I guess. He went into the league with more tread on his tires than is usual for Bama backs. I'm glad I get him for 2 more years in my keeper league.

It’s a shame that we had him wrapped up too

Josh Jacobs and Mark Ingram were my two favorite backs of the Saban era. Baby Rhino is not under appreciated by me.
Most people I know with any football knowledge knew he was the best back.

No. it would have been a shame if he would have went to you and been irrelevant.

I don’t agree with the idea that he was under appreciated at all. He may have been underused by the staff while he was in Tuscaloosa but he really couldn’t stay healthy for a full year until his junior season.

Because the coaches never fully appreciated him. He should’ve been the clear cut #1 back getting 70% of the action. Instead he backed up Damien Harris his whole career.

The same thing is happening with Jaylen Waddle. He’s got one more year of NOT being our go-to WR before he jumps to the NFL and becomes the next Tyreek Hill

If he goes to any team that's not Alabama or even Oklahoma, he never makes it to the NFL. Hate to say it but it's the truth.

Bama fans loved Jacobs. Not sure why you think otherwise.

Not really. Even with Henry’s Heisman season, he was under the average for backs entering the nfl. Alabama has long used a system at RB.

Jacobs was just unusual for only starting two games in his career.
