Sorry Vols. Man doesn't want to recruit.

Pipe. Dream. Burst. Into. Flames.

Gruden said he’s had opportunities to return, but he’s just holding out for the perfect fit. However, he ruled out coaching in college, joking: “I would probably have you on probation within four or five weeks,” because of all the recruiting and NCAA rule challenges

Looks like Tenn gets Greg Schiano.

I don't think we should crown him yet. They have several 6'4+ receivers and they just throw 50/50s to them all game with a decent run game in between. Like gus malzahn but without all the window dressing

Yeah no shite. He has never been a college head coach or coordinator. He hasn’t been a college coach in 25 years. If he goes back he’ll go NFL. I saw something today about Bucs fans trying to rally support to bring him back.

He iiterally beat two top five teams

With IoWa State.

His defense is outstanding, and has a freshman QB.

Sounds like they need someone to keep building brick by brick...

To any Bama fan "I will not be the head coach of Alabama next year" or something like that. That said, I have never believed the Grumors.

Campbell is going to finish 6-6 and the shine will be off real quickly.

UT is going to hire PJ Fleck.

And it's mind-boggling to me that any Tennessee fan would want him. For frick's sake, the guy has not coached in almost a decade. Sure, he's still been around the game, but you can't tell me that calling games and doing whatever stupid qb camps he runs is close to the same thing as running an elite program with high expectations. You have no idea if he'd be a good recruiter. How much sway is his Super Bowl win going to have with a bunch of high school kids? Most of them were like 4 years old when he won it. I almost hope Tennessee 'pulls it off' and gets him, because he'll be terrible.

The Bucs fans rallying for him need to stop. Right the freak now.

I am a huge Bucs fan. He destroyed a dynasty in waiting.

We had the best defense since the 02 Ravens. Sapp, Rice, Lynch, Barber, Kelly, Brooks...MY GOD. It was so loaded.

He decided to stop spending on the defense, and let them go one by one. He then systematically eliminated offensive players.

In four straight years. Gruden either traded, didn't resign, or benched our previous years top receiver. It was simply baffling how many bad decisions Gruden made.

He was good at X's and O's. He is terrible at the rest.

Kempt is a senior.

Campbell has a $9MM buyout.

He will beat OSU and WVU and most likely play in the CCG. He has schematic advantage over the top teams in the league. That's why he's winning the games.

Interesting. The Tennessee board has a stickied thread from a poster who swears that Gruden is all but standing on the sidelines at Neyland.

Let's be honest.

If Gruden were coming, and it was already set in stone, he would already be announced. Butch could finish out the year but you announce that immediately. The amount of recruiting excitement it would generate would be massive.

When you're not even a fan of any team in my league, your view of my opinion of one of the coaches in my league means precisely dick to me.
