I'm not thrilled with this hire, but it'll be better than giving up TDs on first or second down.

Key to success is to avoid a big enough lead to trigger the prevent switch. Miles walked this line beautifully in 2009 and 2010

Yes! Glad he isn't leaving the West.

We haven't seen a 3rd down in a while.

I guess it's better than promoting a DL coach to HC and promoting a TE coach to OC

He only has 10 more SEC schools to go and Chief will complete the cycle

Is it worse than promoting your HC to UFs HC? Where will your new one get promoted to if he makes a name for himself?
Alleva sucks, he will be gone one day. Mississippi State will always be Mississippi State. Enjoy

Great news!
For the rest of the SEC west

Definitely better than hiring a known losing football coach. Alleva isn't going anywhere. Louisiana State official s likes him too much. He's a yes man

At Mississippi State, sure. Losing coach + losing school prob = lots of losing.
O can wins games at LSU. You got a head start but he’ll end up with a winning record against MSU. If y’all get a coach that can beat LSU (even with O) he won’t last long in Starkville

We could do worse-we’ve done worse multiple times.
As was alluded to last week on our board (low key poster can’t remember who now but they should post more) it makes me kind of question Chad’s comments
- as in wonder a bit If we went from an xl guy full of smoke to a skinny guy full of smoke.

Seems like O will be at LSU for the Long haul. Troy whipped that arse in Baton Rouge and the fanbase seems stoked with O.
