Lots of smoke that from recruiting insiders that Kentucky is heavily involved with him. Don’t know if it’s true, but he has just started following quite a few UK players and coach’s. Kentucky plays at Auburn next year, so I doubt Auburn would be thrilled about helping him get his waiver to play immediately.

I can't imagine there is any chance he gets that after leaving mid season.

At least Kirby let his star backup QB run a fake punt.

I think Gus would assist him in any way he needed. All reports are he isnt a SEC QB at the moment. He doesn't run with authority and struggles with reading Ds. This isnt a Justin Fields situation.

This is like dividing by 0. Auburn only takes in transfer quarterbacks. No idea how one that transfers out will actually pan out.

That would give us what 8 QB's? Thats still at least 5 short of the number we need.

Terry Wilson
Sawyer Smith
Amani Gilmore
Nik Sclazo
Walker Wood
Kolbe Langhi

Sean White - havent heard anything on him
Woody Barrett - got benched at Kent State
Tyler Queen - TE at West GA.

No player that quits mid-season should expect, or get, help from the coach and team he quit on.

Forgot about White. Never heard of the other 2.

Woody Barrett was pretty highly recruited. Had a good season at Kent State last year, but was benched last year.

No clue why we ever signed Queen except to lure one of his teammates.

What reason would Gatewood get to be eligible immediately? Unless there is staff changes at Auburn...

Agreed.

I don't understand how the timing of him leaving midseason helps his case at all. There's a reason Bo Nix beat him out in fall camp. And we have all seen how inconsistent Bo is. Even when Joey got his chances to run his packages early in games against better competition, he did not run with authority and honestly looked scared of contact. He had been a solid guy for Auburn for years through his recruitment and said all the right things up until he just quit on his team last week.

Just doesn't seem right to me.

Sean White - havent heard anything on him- Druggie
Woody Barrett - got benched at Kent State- Not intelligent enough for QB position
Tyler Queen - TE at West GA.- Head case

These players speak to Gus' assessment of talent, if anything. I believe it was Lamar Jackson that we turned away for Tyler Queen.
