Still acknowledges this. A self-aware man.

That was last year. Y’all’s defense this year isn’t even close to last years

Is that why he barely completed over 55% of his passes last season?

Yep, that is the kind of guy you want as leader of your team. I don't remember him looking hurt in the game.

I wonder if his backup could have scored?

Yea I was gonna say - that's tough as nails, and it isn't all his fault, but he wasn't exactly good last year (yes yes yes I know last year isn't this year, that isn't the point of this post).

Brennan was unavailable with a back injury, the next option was a walk on former Tennessee Tech QB.

The article says his backup was also injured. It was basically either Joe or a walk on.

Apparently his backup for the game was a walk-on because Brennan was hurt too and unable to play.

So I'm doubting it.

So O was going to jeopardize Jeausus' NFL career by selfishly playing an injured kid???

Huh...

Yeah, probably not.

By the way this is a great pic from that article.

Big Kat Bryant and Marlon Davidson don't look happy. They were probably more pissed at Nix than Burrow though at this point.

We haven't seen enough of him to make much of a judgment. He was a true freshman in 2017, played very little last year due to the injury and What little he's played this year has been garbage time, clock drainage with the other backups. So its hard to really gauge how he can manage running actual plays with the most talented group of players on the roster.

He's got a cannon arm, throws a beautiful deep ball but seems to lack touch on short passes and fireballs everything. But he'll be in his 4th year in the program, 2nd year under this offense...I guess hell be at least adequate.

Per linked article:

Just a handful of his LSU teammates really know the full extent of what happened that day in practice

reading comprehension is hard
