Excellent hire, if true... Although who will we get from the Saints next year if Lombardi moves onto an OC role in the NFL?

I don’t like it. I think we should go after a young spread guy like Joe Brady was

Joe Lombardi is in his 11th season as a member of the Saints coaching staff in his second stint in New Orleans. Lombardi, who spent 2014-15 as the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions, returned to New Orleans after serving on the club's coaching staff from 2007-13. This is his ninth campaign tutoring the quarterbacks.

I disagree. He has actually been a quarterback coach and offensive coordinator in the NFL. He probably help teach Joe Brady the Saints spread. Excellent Hire if true.

Brady’ running the spread was not connected to his age.

No way this is true! If it is, it's a grand slam home-run slam fricking dunk! He's one of the architects that helped Sean Payton build the Saints offense. Brees loves that guy. It would actually be an upgrade from Brady.

I don't see this really happening but if it does this board will explode

A pretty good LSU insider on twitter actually tweeted it out.

I mean, the guy that's coached Drew Brees for 10 years and knows the Saints system as well as Sean Payton should be labeled what exactly?

The same thing was said last offseason about Joe Brady. This board laughed and laughed about how some low level assistant being the difference in a potent offense.

This! If true it's an even better hire than Brady. I would have never thought he'd even consider this position so I'm sure this is just some Twitter rumor.
