I said this in another thread and it may be first blush hype, but dude stands and moves in the pocket and reads a defense like Tom Brady. The only difference is he’s a better runner. Heisman and high NFL draft pick ahead.

Classy post. Tua is no slouch either. He has lots of heart and is one touch son of a gun.

Agreed. It's crazy what he's turned in to this year. Unless he dies, he'll finish with the highest completion % in the history of college football. That's insane.

I feel he's going to do well. I think Tua will do fairly well -- I worry that he's not quite as durable as he needs to be for the NFL but his talent is phenomenal. Best of luck to both of these guys.

Good dude too.

to me, this stat is much more impressive than yards, TDs, rushing, etc.

Burrow is very, very good. But that’s not the only difference.

Not saying he will turn into Brady of course, but Brady is absolutely his player comp.

Well, yeah one is 22 with no rings and the other is 42 with 6 rings and a supermodel wife. But give Joe some time.

He has a long way to go, and I think the most important thing for Joe Burrow is that he gets drafted by a team that he can be successful with. If Brady had been drafted by the Browns, he would not have a HoF resume, right now.

Burrow has the same calmness as Brady does in the pocket. He relies on accuracy and making the right throws in the right window, like Brady does. He has a calmness and confidence when the pressure is on, like Brady does. It will be interesting to see if he can take the next step and do in the pros the same things he does in college.

He just needs to be put in a position to win, like Brady was. It may be tough, since Brady was a 6th round pick who the up and coming Patriots picked up in what was probably the greatest draft steal, ever. Joe is going to get picked in the top 5 by a team that sucks, unless someone trades up to get him. That means he likely won't be in an ideal position to succeed right away.

It's been remarkable. He's got a shot to be the most accurate passer in the history of the NCAA. He's going to probably hold the single season SEC record for passing yards and passing TDs (Tua still has a shot at both of those too if he doesn't sit the next game or two).

And then you add in the type of throws he makes with the completion percentage and it takes it to a different level. Most of his passes are pretty far down field.

Bias aside, when watching him he really does remind me of Brady. How he carries himself, manages the pocket, gets fired up after a big play.

I agree with the comparison of Brady. Not saying he's the next Brady, it's just his ability to read and slide in the pocket. I also stand by my original assertion that Tua plays a lot like Russell Wilson.

I expect both to do well in the NFL. My only concern for Tua is durability, but it could just be some freak injuries.

This.

There were a few times Saturday that Bama had defenders within arms length of him but he held steady in the pocket, moved around as needed, and kept his eyes down field. There are very few times that you see him pull the ball down and look at the defenders around him to escape pressure. His awareness is unreal.

Tua's ability to hit receivers in stride is a thing of beauty, and it has killed college defenses, but it won't be as useful in the NFL unless he has a great offensive line.

You saw what he did to LSU when we gave him time to throw but he makes mistakes and breaks down mentally under pressure or so it seems to me.

Burrow will be long term successful NFL QB. He has amazing poise and I agree with the Brady comparisons.

Unfortunately, he isn't going to get the advantage of being a late round steal for a strong organization. He is probably going to go to the Bungles if things hold. At least he is an Ohio native I guess.
