Those of you from other fan bases who are praying to the football gods that he moves on are just wishful thinking.

Like Saban, Brady tried the NFL, and just like Saban realized it wasn’t for him What he’s doing now is building his resume’, building his value, and proving that his offensive scheme will work anywhere.

If he really wanted to be an NFL head coach, he prolly would be. The.Saints offense has been virtually unstoppable, at times.

Joe Brady wants to coach college kids. Perhaps Ensminger retires, and Brady takes over as OC. Who knows.

But here are some things to consider...

1. LSU would pimp out LoLo to keep Brady. No number is too much.
2. There is a very real chance that Aranda gets a HC some where, freeing up 2.5MM.
3. He has a HC who lets him do his job. Not many coaches are humble enough to get out of the way. Just ask Les Miles.
4. He did his time in the NFL. Didn’t work out.
5. Because we’re not paying 5MM a year for a head coach, LSU could match almost any salary.
6. The feeling you get when you do what LSU has done this year can rarely be duplicated...at any level.
7. Coach Eaux could sell ice water to an Eskimo.

We’ll wait and see, but I think he’s here at least one more year.

Well there's gonna be a lot of blue balls and unsatisfied customers if that's the case

You're right, but to be fair...

We constantly heard about how Texas was going to outbid Alabama for Saban. By that logic, if Texas is interested, won't they outbid LSU?

SECRant perceives Texas as an endless fountain of money. Why does that not apply to assistants? ;)

He'll be the Atlanta Falcons OC next year.

I'm kidding, but could you imagine.

He won’t be here forever. My guess is this year and next. The kid is a riser and will be in demand to be a head coach soon. Unless O retires and they promote him. Brady won’t be here for 5+ years.

How did his time in the NFL "not work out"? He is 30 years old. He saw an opportunity for a higher paying job and took it. He came to us with high praise. Id say his time with the Saints worked out well for him. I also havent seen him say anything about preferring to coach college rather than the pros. I hope he stays at LSU for a long time but youre just talking out of your arse.

Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself more than you're trying to convince us

It is extremely selfish that LSU fans want this great coach kept down in a "Passing Coordinator" position. By your own words, he is the greatest thing to ever happen to offensive football coaching, but you don't want him to advance his career.

Sad.

LOL he's there for one more year, tops. Unless he completely shits the bed next year, in which case, congrats - you've got him!

Never know, but...

Brady 30, needs more experience on how to manage offensive operations to be a coordinator. He needs to learn recruiting, development, motivation, and all the little tricks of the trade. He has a generous mentor in Ensminger 61 years old, 5 years HS coach with 3 as HC, college receivers, TE, QB, and passing for 17 years, and 8 years as college OC plus 2 stints as interm OC. 33+ years of coaching experience is invaluable to a 30 year old.

Expect Brady and Ensminger to become co OC soon, and this will quickly be followed by Ensminger taking on an advisory position with recruiting and positional duties.

Think about it, what's the top end for assistant's pay? Is anyone going to offer a coordinator $10 million per year? I doubt it. Maybe Texas could afford to pay $100 million per year, LSU clearly could not, but Texas won't do that.

IOW, While LSU might not be able to afford to pay $100 million/yr., they can match any reasonable offer for an assistant.

The proof is in Aranda's contract.

Pimping probably violates LSUs code of ethics ...probably

2. There is a very real chance that Aranda gets a HC some where, freeing up 2.5MM.

Is Brady going to move to DC....is LSU going to forgo that position or is someone going to volunteer ...or is Lolo going to be the payment here as well?

3. He has a HC who lets him do his job. Not many coaches are humble enough to get out of the way. Just ask Les Miles

What if...he were the HC?

4. He did his time in the NFL. Didn’t work out.

Saban...I mean Brady wasnt good in the NFL that's why he had to come back to CFB...so now he needs to go back and prove he can coach there
If the posts about Saban wanting/needing to go back to the NFL were deleted..this site would free up terabytes of space

5. Because we’re not paying 5MM a year for a head coach, LSU could match almost any salary.

Should have not used your first point (generous use of the word "point" ) and used this instead

6. The feeling you get when you do what LSU has done this year can rarely be duplicated...at any level.

Congrats on a very good year

7. Coach Eaux could sell ice water to an Eskimo

But apparently will sell it at below value (see your point #5)

Overall...I give you a "C-"
