The only remotely logical thing would be ranking Duke just ahead of JMU

But that would be ridiculous

You look at who would win between JMU and Duke on a neutral field.

And you know this how? without playing the game...

I think James Madison would win, Duke has 5 losses

We don't need speculative results running the playoff.

The solution to this is an ACC problem....they need to fix their tiebreakers so that Miami and Virginia would have played. Problem solved

Just give them their own playoff system. I’d watch that.
No way in hell could a G5 ever win a natty.

Because morons around here can't separate losses and strength of schedule.

What if Duke played JMU's schedule, what would their record be?

If the 5th best team in the country had teams 1 through 4 on their schedule and lost to 3 of 4 of them, and finished the season 9-3, they would rank a team like Tulane ahead them because well "they have 3 losses".

Bunch fricking noob incompetents around here.

They beat 7 P4 teams, JMU lost to the only 1 they played.

hope they tweak the system. Tulane already lost 45-10 to Ole Miss. They aren’t playoff caliber, these G5 teams can’t compete. Boise State was one of the stronger G5 teams and Penn State dispatched them pretty easily.

Alabama already lost to the 13th best ACC team. They aren’t playoff caliber.

To say a 5 loss team is #25 in the country? Are you fricking high? Did you just start following college football six weeks ago?

The tweak needs to be that a G5 needs to be in the top 20 of a major poll and have a win over a Power 4 team.

OR

We need to expand and let all conference champions in.

Kennesaw, Western Michigan, Boise State all could beat Tulane and James Madison.

Duke is a better team than JMU. Are you high? JMU has no business in the playoffs (neither does Duke)…but if one has to go, it shouldn’t be JMU.

And yet here we are again, case and point #gazillion of a poster not understanding that not all schedules are equal.

Have they already played? I don’t know, If not then you can’t say who would actually win or lose until they play a game
