Every time a coach gets hired, he gets paid. Every time a coach gets fired and a buyout, he gets paid. He has a monopoly over college football.

hmmmm...every time I do MY job, I get PAID.
I hope my employer doesn't see your post and decide I am bad for business by getting paid to do my job.

Saban is bad for collage football also.... what’s your point? I’d be in it to win it too.

What you and many others fail to realize is the entire idea of an AGENT is to represent his/her client to the best of his/her ability AND get them the biggest paycheck possible...

The day LSU gave Saban $1 million changed the college coaching landscape forever.
No college coach should be paid over $5 million.
No way the salaries can keep going this high.
It's ridiculous top assistants are making over $1 million.

Sure they can, there's a serious lack of good college coaches. Has that not been evident in the SEC over the last 3 years?

Agreed 100%
He's REALLY BAD for the SEC

Spurrier was paid over a million way back in 1996.

Why does everyone go after the guy getting paid instead of the people paying him?

Buyouts are bad for college football. There is no reason to have them in this day and age with the huge salaries. Alabama and Saban figured this out 10 years ago.

I don't understand coaches paying an agent. I get that 10% of a $6M deal isn't a ton of money to these guys, but agents seem like an entire waste of money.

Jimmy Sexton isn't the problem. The problem is that college football has a shortage of elite coaches.
If one coach has a decent season, multiple schools are going to open up the checkbook and come after him. It's a good position to be in as an agent.
If anything blame the Athletics Directors for churning through coaches too often.

You don’t think contracts should be honored?
That’s what buy outs are for.
