Jermaine “FunnyMaine” Johnson surrendered this week to Birmingham police who say he helped turn a peaceful protest ito a night of violent unrest in the city.
The arrest on the misdemeanor charge was confirmed by Johnson’s attorney, Emory Anthony. Johnson paid a $500,000 bond and was released without being placed in a jail cell.

Good. From everything I've seen, he certainly seems to deserve it.

Just trying to build his platform

He turned off a lot of Alabama fans. So you wont see sympathy here.
It seems a lot of his background and real character were revealed. May not even be a real fan, just using it as a platform to promote his product.

Coach Saban has lost control of the program.

Let's be honest, it started when that strength coach left for greener pastures.

Congrats, I guess. Your black comedian fans hate you Louisiana white boys less than Alabama's. Or not. N.O. had some black folks wearing LSU gear raising hell and tearing stuff down in a recent video. Given a choice I'd take my chances in downtown Birmingham during a riot over much of Baton Rouge and all of N.O. There was a cloud of tear gas over N.O. And the people who could get out of that hell hole did.

I'm all for the monuments of defeat being brought down but Funnymaine deserved this. And it's funny because he annoys me.

$500,000?
He paid a $500 I think.

Good for Alabama police. Doesn’t matter his status, inciting riots is a crime

Based on what I know about that night, I don't think this is a slam dunk conviction.
Even if he is convicted, a class A misdemeanor isn't exactly a career ending event for a professional comedian.

I see he is nitpicking which historical things should be torn down. Pretty typical.

I think the career ending part was pissing off his target audience: SEC football fans who are predominantly conservative white males. He wasn't popular just being a stand-up comedian. He made his money from his youtube channel

Just imagine the irony if they give him a community service sentence to maintain what he wanted to destroy.
