I can’t believe this guy cashed in his chips and retired for good. Way too much experience to sit on the sidelines. And the amount of success in all sports at Florida is unparalleled in the SEC. He knows collegiate athletics.

Plus, he is a master of controlling the media narrative. I mean the way he played hardball during Hurricane Matthew, getting an extra home game and having the media play UF as the victim was masterful.

So, what role would the SECR see him better in? The SEC commish or head of the NCAA?

Just don’t put him in charge of weather related situations

Anyone is an upgrade over Emmert. The NCAA is a complete joke under him.

What exactly has he done?College athletics has never been more popular and had higher revenues...I'm not sure that he's fully responsible for it but he didn't screw it up. Can't say that I disagree with em fully about paying athletes.

Oh and frick no on Foley...he knew how out of control the FB program was under Urban and did nothing.

He would be better than Sankey. He should be SEC Commissioner.

Sankey is the reason for that debacle between LSU / FL. Both schools submitted plans and asked him to make a decision which he failed to do in a timely manner and it all went to shite after that.

Look at pics of Foley from years ago til when he retired - there's no doubt that guy was getting some TRT from his docs. He's probably out banging co-eds now. I'm sure he's happy being retired.

I've always heard it was the opposite - that Urbs was purposefully misleading Foley on things.

When UF had its probation issues in the 80s they brought in that former AD from LSU who was there to fix it - I think that was part of the reason they hired Spurrier. They knew Spurrier would never get them in hot water. Foley was way up the food chain at that point and became the next AD. I think that probation era was a massive scar for UF that literally traumatized those in the athletic department. They were really climbing and then just got clobbered. So I just don't think Foley was covering things up and taking chances with the program.

It was his job to know and I can promise you he knew the reason Spikes,Harvin and Hernandez were sitting out
a game aND it wasn't "injuries"as reported by Urban.

Yea,he did clean things up with Muschamp and Mcelwain but no excuse the Urban zoo that went on under him.

How exactly dId Foley not know players failed drug test?

Seems you're admitting he did know some things.

Maybe. Perhaps if Urbs retires Foley will write a tell all book.

What’s your obsession with him? Did he sodomize your boyfriend while you jacked off? Disgusting if so. Sad either way.

Retired. He hired zook, muschamp, and mcelwain. He's either home run or 50% more likely to go full retard.

Lmao like Richt was recruiting Boy Scouts. Georgia has had plenty of there own culture problems. Nobody in this conference is clean all the time, careful casting those stones. Foley was as good as any when it came to compliance.

Also known as Bill Arnsparger, former head football coach, not AD, at LSU.

Just to humor the OP and his awful attempt at trolling, I'd advise LSU to leave the conference if that prick Foley became SEC commissioner.

Spurrier and Donavan were good hires. He also hired Zook, McElwain and let the facilities go to hell. Under his watch and with his knowledge Zook lead an attempted assault by the football TEAM on a fraternity house. He and Zook should have been fired and or charged.

Have you forgotten the outrageous conduct both criminally and academically of the football team after Spurrier left. Seemingly daily and it reached it's peak under Zook and Meyer. Common thead was Foley.

Under Foley our trophy case filled to the brim...winning in all sports. Year after year we won all sec sports awards, which means every sport combined to climb atop the mountain. The All Sports Award shows how we spread the wealth to every non revenue producing sport.
