If your Cecil Newton, and all this is being said about you and your son, and it's all lies and you didnt do anything- why are you not screaming your innocence from the rooftops?
Why hire a defense attorney to represent you instead of a litigator to go after these people?
If Cecil has done nothing- he doesnt need a lawyer to tell the media he is innocent.

where's your big news for today?

Scott Van Pelt has been asking that everyday since the news broke.
Well I think we know the answer to this one.

Jay doesn't know that Cecil is working for the fbi. It will all come out at 1:00 today.

Simple: because he's guilty.

Was Sarah Evans screaming from the rooftops with Jay was texting her ex-husband? When you lawyer up, it doesn't matter... if Cecil comes out and 'screams' anything, he'll look stupider than Joe Schad trying to read a teleprompter.
I'll hang up and listen.
I'll hang up and listen.

Likewise, why isn't Dan Mullen doing the same, seeing as how all the participants currently being investigated have MSU ties?
Why haven't the two assistants come out and publicly identified themselves, and asserted that they told Cecil to 'frick off, they weren't going to pay him one red cent', which I believe is the story being put out by the Bullie Rantards?

"I will not confirm or deny the rumors..."

Naive, stupid or just stirring the pot?

What has Mullen done that is illegal? Cecil asked for money, didn't get what he wanted, so his son went to a school that offered what he wanted. What does Mullen need to say?

Dan Mullen was on the Tim Brando show this morning answering those questions and basically said, Mississippi State has done everything they were suppose to do and John Bond did what he felt was best for Mississippi State's interest.

If I'm innocent, I'm going to sit back, kick my feet up, and the let the NCAA do their thing.
The last thing I'm going to do is go crying to the media and complicate things.

because they arent being accused of anything...they have told their side of the story to the NCAA and SEC- that's why Cecil is in this predicament

Really?

But the SEC, through spokesman Charles Bloom, revealed that in the reports that it received back from Mississippi State on this issue there was no mention–none–of any such conversations between staffers and the Newtons. I independently confirmed that last night with the SEC office.

I have asked 4 different attorneys what they would do in this scenario:
Your client is being accused of soliciting funds for his son's signature, and the implication is that he used those dirty funds to help renovate his church, and he's getting killed in the media. He tells you it's all bogus, and he has documentation that the funds came from a legit source or several legit sources. Your client has not been charged with anything, nor subpoenaed, nor had a gag order placed on him by a judge. Would you tell your client to keep this exonerating info hushed up?
All four said they'd have arranged a press conference or interview as quickly as they could.
