The former LSU Tiger has reportedly agreed to a five year, $75 million contract with the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland traded for him and several other notable players back in early March.

The deal, first reported by the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, includes $47 million in guaranteed money.

Now he needs to grab that hamstring and then stay on the stationary bike until the Browns trade him

If the Browns draft a decent QB and get a good player with the 4th pick they could turn it around

Good for him. Seems like a good dude

If they end up with Barkely/good QB in those 1st two, they might put up a few points

I got him marked as my keeper for next year (got him in the 5th round), but unless the browns get somebody decent at QB, his talents will be wasted.

And decisions like this are why Cleveland will continue to stay at the bottom of the crab bucket. Great player but as a Dolphins fan I am thrilled my team didn't pay him that kind of cash.

He'll be the richest 500 yard a year receiver in the NFL, thanks, Cleveland

Wow. He’s a solid player but that is some serious money.

good for him, but sorry he had to go to the Browns.

As usual, Ags are richer:

Mike Evans' new contract with Tampa Bay makes him among the highest-paid receivers in the history of the game, according to a source with knowledge of the situation, and vaults him with the likes of Calvin Johnson and Julio Jones in terms of compensation. The five-year, $82.5 million contract extension runs through the 2023 season and is worth a maximum of a little less than $96 million.
Evans had one year remaining on his entry-level contract but is now secured by the Buccaneers throughout his prime, with the former first-round pick emerging as one of the elite playmakers in the NFL and the prime target for young quarterback Jameis Winston. Under the contract, negotiated by agent Deryk Gilmore, Evans receives $55 million in injury guarantees (the previous high was $48.7 million by Johnson

As usual, Ags with the pre-mature ejaculation:

So Landry is going to beat Beckham to the bank as a result of being a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and only receiving a four-year contract. As a first-round pick in 2014, Beckham received a five-year contract including a team option for $8.45 million that he will play on in 2018.
Or will he?
Beckham is believed to want a long-term extension in the neighborhood of $20 million with more guaranteed money than the Buccaneers recently gave to Mike Evans ($55 million) at the top of the wide receiver market. So Landry's contract represents more of a basement rate for Beckham.

...
Beckham, a three-time Pro Bowler, has had a more productive start to his career than Watkins, Landry and Evans despite missing the first four games of his rookie season and 12 during last season due to injuries.

This. You can turn it around quicker in the NFL with just a good offseason and draft than in any other sport. Hue is not a bad coach. With a good draft they could win 4-5 games and get to 8 the next year.

OBJ is also a dubmass, look at all the teams that could have had him this offseason and didn't pull the trigger. The Giants would have come off that 2 1sts stance. I think he could have been had for a 2nd and 3rd, maybe even a 2nd and 4th.
