1 went undefeated and had a decade long NFL career where he singlehandedly led an NFL team to a super bowl

The other one cried a lot and then got back into the NFL to cause a distraction

In college Tebow was greater than Newton. Tebow is greater than any one hit wonder.

Cam was one of the best college football players I've ever seen. So was Tebow.

Your comment about the 2015-16 Carolina Panthers is incorrect, though. The Panthers had one of the best defenses in the NFL that season. They led the NFL in interceptions and opposing QB rating. They sacked the QB and had TFLs an average of 8.56 times per game.

Cam had a better season of College football than any of Tebows years, but Tebow had the better college career. Knowing what we know now, it’d be hard to choose Tebow over Cam, but for strictly college QB it’s very debatable.

I’ve never seen a player in college single handedly impact a game quite like cam did. Love him or hate him, he was an unbelievable athlete that was amazing to witness. Tebow had ballers all over the field and was a great leader of the team but the talent doesn’t even compare.

2009: 8-5 without Cam
2010: 14-0 with Cam
2011: 8-5 without Cam

A middling AU team beat Tebow’s Florida in 2006 and 2007.

Tebow was certainly a great college player.

Cam did things that will be in pregame highlight films forever.

Tebow wasn't even the starter in 2006. he didn't even attempt a throw in that game. He was really only used on 3rd/4th and short situations to run the wildcat. Tebow went 26-2 as a junior and senior, one of those losses being to the eventual national champion. Auburn beating him as a sophomore one of his 3 years as a starter doesn't mean he wasn't one of the best college football players of all-time. And lol at Auburn being a "middling" team in 2006 or 2007. They finished in the top 10 in 2006 and top 15 in 2007.

Newton and Tebow: the best definition of the concept of a 1A and 1B if there ever was one.

Ability - slight edge to Cam
Heart/passion - edge to Tebow

I’d prob choose Tebow if I were building my own college team, but you wouldn’t be wrong if you chose Cam, either.

Auburn didnt win the title until 4 years later

Auburn started #2 and finished 9th in 06
Started 18th and finished #15....definitely a middling, average to not great Auburn team.

What's your point? He had three rushing attempts and zero passing attempts? You portrayed that like Auburn beat Tebow as if he was actually responsible for the loss.

ok?

So Auburn was a top 10 team. And you called Auburn a "middling" team as if they were not a good football team in 2006.

A top 15 team, by definition, is better than average

And Cam Newton's arse was on the bench behind Tebow in 2007 and 2008.
