Pedo State is probably the source of this rumor. It is a cheap way to get rid of him.

That seems like a made up story by a disgruntled former player.
That dude seems like a giant pussy in that article

We have a big bulging buyout with Bert coming up this summer.
Nah, it’s only a couple thousand dollars a pound.

Don't even know or care about this story, but Franklin is a joke and never should have been hired in the first place

I seriously doubt he leaves Penn State unless fired.
See what PSU record is right now?

and now it appears there are serious allegations against Franklin at Penn St.
if he's facing serious allegations at PSU, he's not likely going to be at the top of the list for P5 HC openings.

oh now that's genius
Let's go hire an 0-5 coach with a scandal brewing.
Be glad that Arkansas hired Chad Morris and that SMU is much better shape than with Chad Morris there.

I doubt Pruitt gets fired. In this year of covid, most schools will be unable to move on from coaches with big buyouts.
South Carolina ring a bell?

James Franklin won 9 games 2 years in a row at Vanderbilt. I think he would be tremendously successful at Tennessee.

Why would anybody hire Franklin
Chad Morris ring a bell? If Arkansas could pull the trigger to get him for his losing record at SMU, why not Franklin to Tennessee? Greg Chiano was by far their best chance to succeed but went with Pruitt!

His team was slowly going backwards and I was shocked to see PSU picked him up. I understand he is from the area. But he is just like Jim Harbaugh at Michigan!

Franklin has won a Big Ten championship. He's on a totally different level then Chad " 2-4 against G5 teams at Arkansas" Morris doesn't even compare.

Yep! Odom did great at Missouri! See what I mean then couldn't keep winning like he was able to do it again and wasn't hard to play cupcake schedules. He left before he would've flopped the following year. He was showing a slow declined. Just like Odom. He was building a good team but then he would go backwards/lose to teams he shouldn't have. Franklin is doing that right now at PSU.

Arkansas is not a powerhouse school like PSU.

See I think that this year presents unique challenges and from what I understand PSU has been hit hard with COVID. I would argue Franklin is the 2nd best coach in the Big Ten, and he'd do well at Tennessee.

Its just smoke for now. But if this does happen, I want the fans that raised hell over Schiano to keep that same energy because this time it woukd actually be warranted

I would go with a consistent winning records each year. No excuses for losing all that. Missouri had guys out and still find ways to beat LSU, South carolina, and Kentucky!

PSU isn't a powerhouse either.
