Smith deserved it
Good luck explaining that to a particular fan base.

Who is saying Smith didn't deserve the Heisman?

That is complete quitter-talk horseshite. Sorry everyone needs a boogeyman these days, but sometimes what you have to do is look in the mirror instead of trying to find some other person/team/school etc to blame.

Interesting you ignored the rest of my comment entirely. I’m stating facts whether you agree with them or not really isn’t relevant.

So Ja'Marr would go to the shittier team. That sucks.

What part? That having one or two losses and you're out?
One loss doesn't automatically put someone out. Hell, Auburn proved that just back in 2017.
Two losses? Well, maybe, though that's been true for pretty much all of college football if you're referring to the national championship.

Hate to break it to you, but Chase opting out (quitting) before the season started had nothing to do with Alabama. It had everything to do with dollar bills he was probably already being provided. If you think not playing for a national title is why guys are opting out, then this would have been going on for decades. It's not some new phenomena that only a small handful of teams have a realistic shot of winning by the middle of October. Not to mention, LSU winning last year didn't prevent a record number of early entrees declaring after the season. Was that Alabama's fault or has Saban just established a different type of culture we all wish we had where guys care about the team and commitment?

The closest thing to Smith of the top WR’s would be Hill at 5’ 10” 185. He’s still 10 pounds heavier than Smith but runs a damned 4.29 40.
There are some really good “small” receivers in the NFL. Tyler Lockett immediately comes to mind. Mike Wallace was good for a while. Emmanuel Sanders. Jeudy had drop issues this year but he still created a lot of separation. Smith is a much more physical football player than Jeudy. Ridley is one of the best in the league and he’s 190 soaking wet, also a less physical player than Smith. 175 and physical is less likely to get bullied than 195 and finesse.
