I see a lot of parallels with these two

- Both the son of a coach
- Both CFB national title winners
- Both stuck it out with their original team before transferring elsewhere to develop their skills but still have love for their OG team
- Both went to NY for the 2019 Heisman ceremony
- Both were top 5 MVP candidates in the NFL this year
- Both playing in their conference championships
- Both are natural born leaders that has a knack for making their team rally around them and play hard for them

As the son of a football coach myself, even as an LSU fan I've always been a big fan of Hurts. Also as an LSU fan I don't think I need to illustrate my fandom for Burrow. Both these cats were made by the SEC, let's cheer them both on tomorrow (today really looking at the time). These are the kind of guys that make you love the game

Have always like Hurts and since he’s arrived in Philly he’s really impressed me both on and off the field.

Jalen Hurts was impressive vs LSU in the Peach bowl. Oklahoma was able to score more points on a healthy LSU defense than Georgia and Clemson. When LSUs defense got healthy around the time they played Texas aTm the became a top 5 unit in the country. Jalen was able to help his team to 4 TDs against a star loaded defense that was finally healthy and firing on all cylinders.

The problem was Joe burrow would of have more difficulty throwing against air than Oklahoma's defense.

Good post. Both exhibit extremely good character traits and have represented their respective programs [4 universities, 2 pro organizations] with dignity and class.

To those who down-vote the OP... don't be hate'n.

I hate when people use this game to knock Hurts. He was the only piece on that team that did anything. Not his fault his defense gave up 42 1st half points.

Yes, he was impressive. But not as impressive as Joe, no? That’s my point. Very happy for Jalen and Joe.

Yeah, he actually played fine in that game but LSU was on another level offensively and OUs Defense was pure baby shite. No way they could have kept up.

I'm glad both guys are successful in the league

Hurts is definitely better than Tua, that much is obvious.

He did toss up an INT and the offense had 5 3 and outs (or less) which enabled LSU to score 49 in the first half. The offense not staying on the field was a big reason LSU was able to put it out of reach by halftime.
