Only difference is LSU is essentially playing a home game...if Clemson can pull off the upset in that environment it will be epic.

Clemson seems to forget they lack the dline from last year.
And, Clemson doesn't get the benefit of a banged up Tua like last year.
Oh, and LSU's QB is basically playing as an NFL pro NOW......Veneables shenanigans will be much less effective.
Clemson is a great team, but the LSU squad is legendary. Comparing 2019 Bama to 2020 LSU is a far reach.

Actually, I wasn’t confident at all heading into last year’s game. I’ve learned to temper my expectations and to be thankful for the present.
I can understand the confidence here though - they have had a very, very special season.

I'll just say this: the best defense, IMO, we played this year was Auburn. They threw new wrinkles at LSU and they struggled in the red zone, only won by 3. YET, LSU still put up 500+ yards of offense. Since then, they've been putting up video game numbers. Burrow made adjustments to his game and he's been unstoppable.
Every time we hear "they've never faced a defense like this", it's been the same thing. They run a scheme that no one else in college is, or at least isn't running as efficiently, have too many weapons, and have a QB who hasn't been fazed by a thing all season.
None of this guarantees a win, but hence..........confidence.

We’re not confident in a win, just in our team. We all watched the NC game last year. If we lose, we lose...but we’re super happy with the team we’re bringing.

Great perspective- y’all should be confident in your team...they’re dynamic. Not sure if we have the horses to keep up on defense.
