They are playing 4d chess with A&M. What's lost in all of this, is the REAL reason Aggie extended Jimbo wasn't his record. It was the fact that LSU was sniffing around after Ed O. got fired. So A&M gave him an outrageous contract and the rest is history.

Jimbo has a history of doing this. LSU can't take any credit, he destroyed aTm program all by himself.
In all honesty, Woody dodged a bullet by getting out of there before the consequences of the hire came back around and the interest when the LSU job was open was a hollow gesture. Woody was working Kelly by making it look like he was interested in Jimbo, that's the 4D chess move.

Eh the Aggy brass wanted Jimbo for the reasons mentioned above. Woodward made it happen with a shitload of their money.

Jimbo will leave A$M in worse shape than FSU when it is all done.
The damage to A$M will be so much worse. The SEC is the worst conf to get knocked to the bottom and have to work their way up in. Reputation with TX kids with other options in TX alone is going to be devastating. Boosters will have a harder time ponying up monies AGAIN in hopes of what they were promised the first time around. Briges have been burned.
