Really like Hilton Head. Corpus is a dump.

1 point for SC.

Poor comparison. This is like comparing an Acura MDX to an '88 Impala.

I can't comment on Corpus Christi because I have never been there but I just spent a week on Hilton Head last month and it is pretty nice.
Man did I ever get hammered at the Tiki Hut one of the nights, it was like a flashback to my younger years.

And, Hilton Head is okay, another Ohio-south destination. Overcrowded and not nearly as nice as people would have you believe.

Corpus, well...

This is akin to San Angelo vs Macon.

I'm thinking the Four Seasons, Anguilla vs St. Regis Princeville Resort, Kauai.

Hilton Head no question if you’re into the beach and party scene (golf too). However, if you’re a wade fisherman...Corpus and the Texas bay system is hard to beat.

The flight from Houston to Corpus is phenomenal hugging the coastline.

Texas isn’t the place to go if you want nice beach resorts.

If you want to go fishing and get a job then the coast is popping.

100%. We got the shite end of the stick as far as water and beach quality on the gulf coast.

Possibly, but wade fishing is pretty fun if you are into that kind of thing.
Just be careful about keeping bait in your pocket, a shark may give you an unpleasant surprise.

Only south corpus christi is nice. The rest is the hood. It literally takes 30-40 min without traffic to drive to the north side to to the southside of corpus. That's just how space out the coastal town is. So idk if you been to the southside where its very nice. I used to contract in corpus and would have to spend weeks at a time there. The weed is good there if you smoke.

The closer you get to Mexico the better the water looks off the coast. Compare Galveston to the areas south of Corpus. It's a big difference.

Good Hilton Head story. Ten years ago I was talking to a doctor from Charleston and he told me in the 50s he was invited to Hilton Head . Took the ferry across and his wife fussed at him the whole time.

A guy named Charles Fraser had invited a group of doctors, lawyers and bankers and they sat through a nice buffet and presentation of what the island would look like one day. He said a big circus tent had been set up for them.

Ocean front lots were $5000.00 and he bought one. No bridge, no stores, no houses. He said all the way back to Charleston his wife went on and on about his waste of money.

Then years later his wife was fussing at him for only buying one lot.

I worked at the Fuddruckers on Hilton Head back in 1988 and I met Muhammed Ali. I went to Corpus Cristie back in 1991 and didn't see a damned famous person the whole week.
Hilton Head is way better.

The low country is one of the nicest places on earth but its getting overcrowded in a big way. HHI is ridiculous. Hell even Bluffton is packed. They will have condos in Frogmore before its over.
