Hurts didn't improve one bit if you ask me. Still can't complete a pass unless Ridley is wide open down the field. I vote that Coach Saban needs to give the keys to Tua. Let him take this car for a spin now. Hurts will blow us a game somewhere. He looks pathic sometimes and the defense has to keep bailing him out.

OP I agree. JH is a mediocre QB.

Keep Hurts as your qb until he graduates. An elite qb would make Bama literally unbeatable.

Saban lets y'all vote on these things? Damn, he really has mellowed at Bama, hasn't he?

He can throw well enough. With his running ability he that stable of backs u have more than enough to win it all. Not sayin y'all do but definitely good enough right now to win it all.

And when Tua goes 24/25 that one incompletion will have you starting a thread calling for the other kid, right?

My only problem with Hurts is that I think he gives up on the pass too early and is looking to run the football.

You are right. He lost his confidence at the end of last year and he's to scared to throw now. It cant be just me thinking he was bolder first half of last year. If Tua is better he should play. We went to the big game with a 4 star freshman last year and won the game but the ACC refs stole it away. We can win it with a 5 star freshman.

God I hate our fans sometimes. He played a great d in the first gme, there is zero reason to ty and start out a true freshman at this point.

So his struggles in the first game of the season have nothing to do with the fact that our O-line got blown up several times by a very good FSU D-Line, who has more talent and depth than anyone we will play against this season, barring possibly LSU?

Kinda hard to go through all your progressions when you can't even get to 2 Mississippi before having someone in your face.

He is a strong threat with his legs. I don't see any improvement with his accuracy though.

I certainly wouldn't want to see him benched if I was a fan of his school. He is just a true soph. and is changing O's yet again. He may not be comfortable in the new system yet.

The 2nd down play after the punt block.

Hurts sees a guy coming free from the left, didn't trust Bo to pick him up so he took off to the right and got sacked.

Bo made the block.
