It's time to do away with cross division "rivalries".DSOR means nothing to many UGA fans.

Much like Bama/UT.Lets face facts UGA has dominated the
series somewhat likke Bama has dominated the Vols.Auburn is nothing more than Vanderbilt to an entire generation of
Dawg fans and the "rivalry" is nothing more than just another SEC game against a low tier SEC opponent...no different than Ole Miss or Arkansas

Yes. This system should die.

It’s much more interesting to see Bama play UF and Georgia home and home every 4 year period or LSU play Tennessee and Georgia home and home than what we have. It would require doing away with divisions but who cares. The two teams with the best two conferences play in the SECCG ala the B12

I agree.

Just because Auburn and GT have become easy wins, we don't have to forget the tradition and hate within the rivalries. It is on Auburn and GT to get their houses in order. It isn't a reason to scrap 2 of our best rivalries.

Nothing says the SEC more imo than Auburn vs. UGA on a cool, early November afternoon. It's one of my favorite games to watch not invoving my own team.

Crazy that a program can be nothing more than Vandy, yet still accomplish much more than the university of Georgia has in the past 38 years

My only objection is the infrequency of which East vs West play. Would be better if they maintained the cross division and played two others from the other division each year. From their own division, they would not play one team and it would rotate each year. So UT plays UGA 5 times of every 6 years, Alabama every year, and Auburn/A&M (for example) once every 3 years.

Maybe so but the current format sucks goat balls.

It's utterly stupid that teams in the same conference may not play each other any more frequently than every 7 to 8 years. Every SEC player should get to experience the Swamp, Tiger Stadium, Sanford at least once in their 4 year career. It would make the league more competitive.
You want to preserve traditional games? Fine. Each team gets to keep 3 to 4 traditional rivalries so Bama v Tenn (yawn) is preserved. Expand to 9 conference games and round robin the rest insuring home and home with every other team within a 4 year period. It would give the fanbases more interesting games than an OOC vs East Bumblefrick U.

Yes, we should remove cross division games. AU should also be moved to the east, and UGA can schedule a OC schedule that doesn't include Austin P.

So teams in the East don't have to face teams in the west... interesting.
